About this snapshot and how to read the figures
Source: Q3_statistics_Global_Database.xlsx, prepared September 2026. The company totals reconcile to the workbook’s Company statistics tab. All 195 countries in that tab are included.
Status: 130 countries (12,543,908 records) do not publish company status. Their “active” count equals their total and must be read as status unknown, not confirmed active. The active/unknown figures elsewhere follow the workbook’s definitions.
Missing values: “Not reported” preserves a blank source cell; zero is a reported zero. Regional totals sum reported values without estimating missing cells. Gray on the map does not mean that KYB access is unavailable. The detailed KYB matrix covers 195 of the 220 countries and territories cited in the workbook summary.
Sources and units: Attribute counts represent companies with at least one populated value, not the number of people or documents. Registry facts originate from official sources; phone, email, website, LinkedIn and additional employee counts are enriched from additional sources.
Ownership: Corporate linkage counts are a separate Q2 2026 snapshot: 40,210,132 companies across 213 countries. They are shown in country profiles when a matching entry exists and are not combined with Q3 totals.
Charts: Bar lengths use a linear scale. Map colors use a logarithmic scale to keep smaller markets visible. Filters apply to the map, country table and ranking charts; a selected country controls the profile and attribute chart.
